HIGHLAND HOOKERS TOURNAMENT RULES 2021
1. There is no limit on horsepower.
2. There are NO passengers permitted in tournament boats during tournament hours unless tournament has been designated as a “partners” tournament.
3. Pay outs for the tournaments will be determined by the Club each year at our annual meeting.
4. All boats must have a working live well with enough room for two (2) anglers catch when necessary.
5. Life jackets must be worn and safety “KILL SWITCH” must be attached to the driver when the motor is in use during the tournament hours.
6. The Weight Master of the tournament will be responsible for checking all live wells and boats prior to the start of each tournament.
7. A “LIMIT” is any combination of large-mouth bass and/or small-mouth bass totaling five (5) fish.
8. There is a four (4) ounce penalty deduction for each dead fish brought to the scale.
9. Dead fish can NOT be culled.
10. The Weight Master will be responsible for all fish being weighed in and any fish not totaling 12” minimum will be lost. One (1) pound per short fish will be deducted and the angler will NOT be eligible for Club sponsored money, excluding Calcutta.
11. Trolling is NOT permitted.
12. Nets are permitted to land fish.
13. Cash pay-outs for positions: 1st, 2nd, 3rd and LUNKER by the Club. Ties split the money.
14. Boating distance: moving boats no closer than twenty-five (25) feet, anchored boats no more than seventy-five (75) feet (both motors out of the water).
15. Artificial lures and one (1) fishing pole in use at any one time.
16. Tournament hours: start at safe light and ending at 12:00 Noon, providing all conditions are safe to launch (fog, lighting, etc.).
17. No leaving the boat during the tournament hours unless approved by the designated Weight Master.
18. NO CHEATING! Anyone caught cheating will be disqualified from the current tournament and possibly removed from the Club. Officer’s discretion.
19. Individual weights by member will be recorded by the Weight Master and tallied by the Club Secretary to determine the Club Champion upon completion of the final tournament.
20. Late arrivals must check in with the Weight Master on the lake and pick-up partner, pay Calcutta fees prior to fishing, if he wishes to participate in the Calcutta.
21. Official measure of the Club will be the “Golden Rule”.
22. All boaters and non-boaters will meet at the PARK BAR parking lot at the time determined at the last Club meeting, unless prior arrangements are made.
23. All boats must be back at the weight area at the designated tournament end time; late boats will have a one (1) pound penalty for each five (5) minutes late.
24. All complaints or violations must be made prior to tournament pay-outs to President and Weight Master.
25. No umbrella rigs or “A” rig permitted.
26. No cell phone – Emergencies Only.
